The Storm
This is one of the effects of that massive snow storm.
A car (Bear's car- you can see him in the car trying to drive on out while they haul him :)) being towed out of a snow bank.
I dunno how it got in there except that the snow fell on it, and around it,while Bear was indoors.
The Weather is crazy these days!
What is up with that?
It's a worldwide phenomenon too!

Needs to be said
I was talking to someone about overweight and fat and losing weight and it stayed on my mind.
One thing that came out of the conversation was that some overweight people are extremely sensitive to any reference to their weight.
I don't necessarily understand that extreme sensitivity.
I wondered if the reason for that extreme sensitivity and the fact that one comment can devastate an overweight person so much, is because when it comes down to it, by acting devastated, maybe they (the overweight) think that the person making the comment is right, and that that person knows everything about them (the overweight person) and knows what they're (the overweight person) about.
That doesn't make sense to me.
To give over your power so much to people.
Just ANY random person can make a comment about weight if you are overweight and your world falls apart.
No way!
There is 'something more' going on there...
That 'SOMETHING MORE' is not the responsibility of others around the overweight.
That is something that needs to be healed from the inside.
So cutting oneself off from people for fear that they will say something (even something constructive), or think something, or look at you, or anything about your weight....is really non-productive.
That being said, it must be a struggle to get into the mode of RIGHT THINKING, but it needs to happen regardless of how hard it is.....

Oprah on Love
I really like Oprah Winfrey a lot.
She has overcome a lot of adversity, gotten to know herself as a result of that adversity, and uses her blessings to help others as much as she can. She is truly an inspiration.
Today she is doing a Valentine episode.
A friend of Bear from Sudan named Emmanuel gets to reunite with his wife on the OPRAH SHOW today :)
The pictures are taken directly off Oprah's site.
She arranged for a one day pass into the US for Emmanuel's wife to visit him.
Oprah has many detractors. People who really criticize her and what she does. I think until you have experienced a truly hard life and overcome it, you can never understand what it is to have an Oprah heart.
YES everybody is human and she is not perfect but neither are we, and she has certainly done way more to help others than I am sure many of her detractors have!
You go OPRAH!
BTW, my dream is to meet her one day and talk to her.
I hope she thinks I am great too! That would be the best compliment ever! She is the only person I think I would remotely care about what she thinks of me hahah

Lightening up
Everybody has too much stress....
I think I have too much. I don't like to talk about it. I mean I do talk about it, to solve it but then I compartmentalize all of it, so I can enjoy life. Life doesn't have to be all about the sadness that comes constantly.
I like to enjoy the rest of life... The 90% of life that is left when you compartmentalize the stress and realize what is important.
It's better that way. Believe me...IT'S BETTER THAT WAY :)
Laugh
Go to the mountain
Sit on the snow and tell yourself its warm :)
Stand in the freezing air (GRIN AND BEAR IT!)
Sing ...make bear sing too :)
Make jokes
Sing road signs out loud (people will think you are weird so that makes it funnier)
Talk about Sci-fi and comic books
Walk and laugh if you trip
Talk to random people
Eat with your fingers and lick off the meat sauce unceremoniously..but then wash your hands when you think it's gotten too gross for you to bear LOL
Take cool pictures with pirates at the dinner theatre
DO the relaxation sequence with the running through the forest, sun in your eye motif (you will laugh for days!)
Stretch (yoga it out to music by Sean Paul or Lauryn Hill)
Forget the stress

A church I went to
On Sunday
It's in a coffee house, but it's different from the churches here I went to, that built their coffee bars and deli area into the church.
This is a coffee house and a bar where the church holds service.
They read the book of James which I like immensely.
I blogged James in Bible books and verses that are meaningful to me BLOG
This is when they were praying for someone.

Tempted
I saw an advert for Gap and remembered Raoul Bova in his ad campaign for Gap. I think the song pushed it over the top. I always remembered it. Ad songs really help me to branch out :)
Its
Tempted by Squeeze (yeh the pics are of Raoul)
I bought a toothbrush, some toothpaste, a flannel for my face
Pajamas, a hairbrush, new shoes and a case.
I said to my reflection, Let's get out of this place.
Pass the church and the steeple, the laundry on the hill
Billboards and the buildings
Memories of it still keep calling
And calling
But forget it all I know I will
Tempted by the fruit of another
Tempted but the truth is discovered
What's been going on
Now that you have gone
There's no other
Tempted by the fruit of another
Tempted but the truth is discovered
I'm at the carpark, the airport, the baggage carousel
The people keep on grabbing, ain't wishing I was well
I said, "It's no occasion. It's no story I can tell."
At my bedside, empty pocket, a foot without a sock
Your body gets much closer
I fumble for the clock, alarmed by
The seduction
I wish that it would stop
Tempted by the fruit of another
Tempted but the truth is discovered
What's been going on
Now that you have gone there's no other
Tempted by the fruit of another
Tempted but the truth is discovered
I bought a novel, some perfume, a fortune all for you
But it's not my conscience that hates to be untrue.
I asked of my reflection,
What is there to do?
Tempted by the fruit of another
Tempted but the truth is discovered
What's been going on

My personal DNA
My Personal Dna Report
You are a Director
As a DIRECTOR, you combine an unusual openness and passion for beauty and style with confidence and a down-to-earth sensibility that allow you to realize your vision.
You are practical and pay attention to the details that others tend to miss.
By focusing on what is real and concrete, you achieve more than those who always have their heads in the clouds.
When it comes to what really matters in your life, you are confident in your ability to succeed.
Having beautiful things in your life gives you pleasure and satisfaction - you have a keen eye for style.
Even when problems present themselves, deep down you know you will overcome these challenges.
When routines get too familiar, you become bored and start looking for ways to spice things up.
You are open to new types of experiences – you are not afraid to take a risk on something new.
You have a highly developed sense of taste – you know what looks good on you, in your home, and in the world at large.
You have a strong sense of style and value your personal presentation - friends may even seek your style advice from time to time.
If you want to be different:
Occasionally let yourself dream a little more, even if it doesn't seem practical or efficient.

How I relate to others
Apparently I am free wheeling.....
Your charismatic nature, liveliness, and independence make you FREE-WHEELING.
You don't mind being in the spotlight, preferring social gatherings to quiet nights at home.
You take a practical approach to people, not getting too involved in their feelings—or their business.
At the same time, your acceptance of others leads you to be understanding of their life circumstances, even if you don't quite understand their emotional reactions to some things.
Although you have a wide circle of friends, you're very discerning as to whom you can trust.
You're not rigid in your beliefs about the world, and you don't want to impose your perspective on others, but at the same time, you know that plenty of people don't always act responsibly.
Engaging with others is a large part of how you live in the world, and most importantly, it plays a role in how you see yourself—you tend to learn a lot about yourself in situations where you are with other people.
You have an understanding of the complexities of situations, and you don't judge others too hastily.
You have a strong sense of style and value your personal presentation - friends may even seek your style advice from time to time.
If you want to be different:
Your open-mindedness about the world gives you a great perspective on things, but your lack of trust in others limits how close you can get with them. Try opening up to people a bit more without losing your healthy skepticism.
While being the life of the party will occasionally come naturally to you, be sure to reserve time for yourself—see what you can learn by spending some time observing the world rather than just by diving in.
