Just finished

Yesterday I started and finished
Night by Elie Wiesel
It was sad and depressing but of course very good. I have read so many of these types of books and I never get tired of it.
http://www.achievement.org/library/bookcovers/Night_0.jpg
Took me two hours and 10 minutes to read.
I started to real Vonnegut's Slaughter House Five but I decided I needed to do something upbeat, after reading Night.

Pink

I watched Pretty in Pink
Its still so cool and so good after all this time..
And still so unrealistic.
http://www.nassaulibrary.org/SyoTeensBlog/prettyinpink.jpg
The breakout star in this one for me is James Spader who I always have loved and still do.
He is amazing as an actor and was great looking when he was younger.

This may be true

I took a quiz
Who is your ideal match...
This is the result I got

Enthusiastic & Outgoing

Ethusiastic_and_outgoing_this_one_profile

Your perfect match is someone who is witty, outgoing and enjoys life. This person is the life of the party, has a great sense of humor and lights up the room with their smile. They communicate well and have a great connection with friends, family and their co-workers. Everyone is drawn to them and there is that special shine that you see in their eyes that tells you that they don't take one minute of life for granted. This person will sweep you off your feet, tell you exactly how they feel and are not shy to hug or kiss you in public. The top traits they are looking for in a mate is someone who is open to new ideas, is eager to live life to the fullest, will openly adore them and is confident. They love adventure, the outdoors and animals and if they discover you are interested in something, they will love that too! They are keen to get to know you and will quickly fall madly in love you for your personality, your smile and even just the sound of your voice.

This is so true

I took a quiz
Which Famous Literary Character are you
I got This

You are Jane Eyre from Charlotte Bronte's classic masterpiece.
You spend much of your life torn between the desires of your heart and the choices you feel are most logical.
You're a smart person who is very resilient, romantic, strong, and forgiving.
You have a lot of love to offer people, if they're willing to look past your eccentricities to find it. You spend much of your time in a state of humble, thoughtful silence, yet you're not afraid to get assertive when the situation calls for it.
You've never been one to conform to society's rules, even if that means making unpopular decisions.
People will try to change you, but you'll never let them.
Above all else, you're a Romantic with your own set of beliefs and desires.
In the end, everyone knows you're going to make the right decision..

Ghost Love In the River

I went to that show to de-stress
My fav instrument is the Bass Fiddle
Why?

Because only with the bass fiddle can I actually feel the music...the sound runs through you
Can an instrument capture sorrow.
YES
The bass fiddle can.
My second fav is the violin

Meanwhile...

Langtry was great but Phlox and Bad Kite were awesome as well.

Bella from Bad Kite had a haunting presence and voice

Phlox had some sets where they sang songs like Ghost Love

Absolutley AMAZING

Rumor

SO I obtained and watched Rumor Had it starring Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Costner and one of my favorite actor Mark Ruffalo.
Apart from the fact that it really could have been done much better, it was just sad!
I really dislike characters who are 'bored' with life and therefore 'test the waters' and hurt other people in the process of finding themselves.
Sometimes I want to say
You know what
You feel this angst cuz you are BORING!
You have no extra curricula activities, you dont go out and have fun
Take a walk, get a hobby.
Don't cheat on your fiance...
Have mercy!
http://elmesc.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/rumor_has_it1.jpg
Meanwhile it was good in that it was exploratory.....
But I probably would only watch it again because of Mark Ruffalo.
He is cute, sweet, kind, honest, genuine. (In real life he comes across like this too!)
Shirley Mclaine was great in this movie as well.

two weeks ago

I went to the bookstore and read
PUSH by Sapphire
http://www.wildaboutmovies.com/images_7/PreciousPoster2.jpg
They turned this into the movie Precious
It was one of the most disturbing books I have ever read, and now its another of my favorites.
Yes it will make you cry from page one, sentence one!
It took 3.5 hours to read.
I had to read it in the store because I have no room for new books :(

Almost done

15 more pages till the end of.....
Paris Trout by Pete Dexter

Amazing Book
The language is clear and deep and moving and the content is just as amazing.
I saw they already made the movie out of it
This is one of my favorite books.
The first two chapters had me crying all the way through...and then the book just kept me captured.
Took me a total of 5 hours to read it
I bought this book for 25 cents at a library sale. Mainly because of the cover.
I've only now got the time to read it.

YAY

Wow i did that movie thing!
I am proud of myself.
Win or not I am so proud.
This is the start of something big! hahahaha

Flow

So I am doing all the things that one should be doing for year of yes.
Going here and there
Doing this and That
With this one and that one.
It's fun and good
Except there is sometimes a 'thing'
A small space...
The space used to be bigger.

Magics

The magics and effects of the new Harry Potter Movie were pretty cool.
I am going to have to read the book to get more of the story though.
http://threemonthstime.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/harry-potter-and-the-half-blood-prince-20080815031722338_640w.jpg
It just seemed like something was missing.
The unbreakable vow scene is one of my favorites.
The meaning of it and the consequences if broken ....

Lazy CV

Past: Nerd

Present: Nerd

Future: Even more of a nerd

With a cool streak to die for :)

So sad :(

This is one of the songs at The memorial. But its a poignant life song too

I Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer

I nev-er dreamed you'd leave in sum-mer
I thought you would go then come back home
I thought the cold would leave by sum-mer
But my qui-et nights will be spent alone

You said there would be warm love in spring-time
That was when you start-ed to be cold
I nev-er dreamed you'd leave in sum-mer
But now I find my-self all alone

You said then you'd be the life in au-tumn
Said you'd be the one to see the way
I nev-er dreamed you'd leave in sum-mer
But now I find my love has gone away

Bare

There was nothing in the box this time.

I took it as a sign.
A good sign.
New beginnings

Other Review

Crap : Burn after Reading - John Malkovich was the only saving grace.
Eh: Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
Could have been better: Not Easily Broken
These are other movies I saw recently.
Wish I could get those hours back :(

Compelling

I saw 4 movies and the only one that was really good was the foreign film Princesas.
http://www.celebritywonder.com/img/movieposter/tn/2006_Princesas.jpg

Mainly because of Micaela Nevarez.
http://content8.flixster.com/photo/74/15/94/7415946_tml.jpg
Wow she was amazing.
Even though she wasn't the main character, after her first appearance on screen you kept wanting to see more of her in the movie..
http://www.calendarlive.com/media/photo/2006-09/25173564.jpg
The other woman in the film was good just not as compelling as Micaela.
