And I thought at first it would be some teeny bopper film

BUT
It was more than that and kind of amazing when you watch through it

I enjoyed the story and the acting
I just really like this one

Ok when I tried it on I realized:

The arms need a little work

Hand sewing does not take that long

I need to put an inner lining with elastic

I need elastic across the top and possibly across the top of the arms
It's def a top not a dress

I need the deep blue belt sewn on to the stomach part.
Possibly with a cinch detail

And I never really want to construct sleeves in a traditional way

So I got this picture in my head because of the material
And I drew it

Well it's not done yet but I had a couple of fittings
The first one showed that I needed to cut more

Across the top
It was too tight in the arm hole and across the front

So I cut it

Then I tried it again

It fit much better

I definitely like it and can't wait to add a cute belt or something

By Hand

Well I need another shift dress and I have the material, so that's what I decided to do

I don't use paper patterns anymore because it's a little too complicated for me

So I chose a dress that I like, that fits great

I use this as my pattern

Cut round the self edge

Then start to sew
I am doing the sewing by hand.

I have the tiny straight edge hand held machine but I don't trust it not to cause puckering

And after I hung up I couldn't fall asleep
So I am up watching every movie online that stars Zoe Saldana that I haven't seen

I am trying a new head wrap

I tried it out on a skype meeting with my friend R who liked it and so I decided this was a good one
Well I liked it before he did and that confirmed to me that it was worth keeping

Plus it keeps my head cool while it's all wrapped up
