Diary Lyrics

India Arie lyrics,

Purify Me

easy like sunday morning, like an angel callin he's taking me all in,
im embracing him with my skin, like a pillar of light a vision
of light and he's so perfect that i couldnt picture him if i tried,
see some may come some may go but i'll but i'll follow you
where ever you go your the perfect mate for my soul and
i know why i lose control, i lose control whenever im around you, yea

CHORUS
cause you've given me your hand and thats
more than enough your glance is like jumpin in the river of jordan
purify me baby, when im taking your hand and thats more than enough
your glance is like jumpin in the river of jordan purify me baby.

its like summer time always like its sunny out all day,
when ever you smile sweeter than momma's homemade
i thought every man was made the same way,
but in a world of smoke and ashes boy you are
milk and honey see some may come and some
may go just fill me up with your love you're nourishment
to my soul and i know why i lose control, i lose control
whenever im around you cause you've given me

CHORUS
your hand and thats more than enough
your glance is like jumpin in the river of jordan purify
me baby when im takin your hand and thats more
than enough your glance is like jumpin in the river of
jordan purify me baby

Interesting art Views

Art Fests are always so relaxing and so cool. The clothes are art. The people are art
The art is art. I love it!

Look at this stuff.
I know I would have to restrain myself from just getting this stuff to display at home.
I already have enough on my bookshelf.

I love the colors

Of course, everyone you meet ther is super sweet and kind to you.

No Matter what is going on in the world, there is always some beauty to share! :)

Ebony Models

A couple of love birds showed up at cafe.

They turned out to be Ebony Magazine models and Inspire magazine asked me to take their picture!
It pays to walk with your camera no matter where you go

They are really cute together.

He sang to her onstage and she looked enraptured...

Nice :)

Jazz it up

So Toya and I visited Cafe for the jazz.

Dayve Stewart and the vibe are tremendous...I can never get enough.

Davye himself is so sweet. he came round to our table to say hello and he even gave me a shout out when he was on stage....

Insert BIG SIGH of infatuation hahaha
The music was top notch and I adored his brown CK jacket....

Tommy Davidson

So Tommy Davidson came to town to help with the launch of Inspire magazine.

He didn't stay long at Cafe but I went up to him for a pic and he obliged nicely..
All I could think about was his stand up routine: Shaboing Shaboing!

Asian Performances

The Philipino, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese groups all had performances and demonstrations.
These are some of the ones I really liked.
Dances

Flowers

Meditation exercises

There were even some instrumentals

Overall it was a really fun time

I love Lucy

Lucy Ho.
Today I met up with her again at the Asian Cultural Fair in town. Last year I went to the Hakki concert that she helped to put on, so I asked her when this year's concert will be.

She told me I missed it.
It was last week!
I never even saw it advertised or anything :(
She was great about it and told me about the big one in September of this year and they gave me some cute cellphone accessories from Taiwan :)
The red mask is the one I took home.

I love Asian culture...well all culture really but this is the one I went to today :)
Lucy on the other hand is so tiny and sweet.

She loves to talk about how and when she came here and what other Asian awareness events are coming up.
I should really try to make it out to her original restaurant although I have been to Masa and I love it :)

Poison Ivy

You are Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy 64% Mystique 56% Apocalypse 54% Magneto 53% Catwoman 53% Dr. Doom 45% Mr. Freeze 43% Green Goblin 40% The Joker 39% Dark Phoenix 39% Lex Luthor 32% Riddler 30% Venom 30% Juggernaut 28% Two-Face 28% Kingpin 16%

Reminds me

Some art takes you back.

To books your read when you were younger about British seasides and elevenses, or the countryside picnics, you could imagine but never went about the business of doing.

Or it can remind you of the silly cartoons and comic books you used to read.

This reminds me of Boyo Butler

Some art just reminds you that sometimes art is there for the sake of art.

Smokin Aces

Did not get great reviews, but I really liked it. The audience seemed to really go for it too!
The violence in this movie was extreme but did not feel too gratuitous.
For the purposes of this movie, that level of violence was required, and with the brute force and magnitude to which it was portrayed.
The cast of charcaters in this movie was phenomenal but I wondered what the salaries were because the movie only cost 17 million dollars to make.

I really liked Common, Taraji Henson, Jeremy Piven, Chris Pine, and Tommy Flanagan in this movie even though the others like Ben Affleck, Peter Berg, Ryan Reynolds, and Ray Liotta were also so very good.
I recommend this movie as a possible must see.

Shells and Sand

I never saw open turtle shells before.

These were strewn all over the floor.

I didn't touch them.
Matt told me that the one on the wall is made of metal.

I didn't examine the ones on the floor closely enough to tell if they were too but I suspect so.

Shadowy

I love shadow boxes and when I have time and space I will probably make my own.
I saw this one and really liked looking into it and getting into it, thinking into it.
Crawling into it
.
The box reminded me of The Borrowers, one of my all time favorite stories.

Rescue Me

Is one of my favorite tv shows because of the raw realness of it.
Sometimes I think it's too much but I can't stop watching.
It makes you laugh, cry, get angry, get everything...
The writing is excellent.
Dennis Leary did a good job with this production.

Channel Pillows

When I saw these I had to take a picture.

I really would never have thought to make art out of these or bar codes but they did.
Nice!

Spiderman 3

This was the best of all of the series in my estimation.

The story dealt with loss, revenge, forgiveness and redemption.
I loved all of it.
Topher Grace (from That 70s Show) was excellent. I am glad that he has moved on and is getting better and better roles all the time. Good agent and Good actor!
Thomas Hayden Church (Wings, Ned and Stacy, Sideways), was really great in this role. I hope this propels his career even further. He is so underrated as an actor in Hollywood, even though he plays great roles.
Brice Campbell also had a very small role for which he received among the top billing in the credits. His friendship with Sam Raimi is paying off but I do feel he is too talented to not have his own show.
James Franco was wonderful and they played up his trademark smile and wink...lovely work

I really enjoyed the story, the special effects (amazing), and how everything all came together.
Good Job. Well done. I should have seen it at the IMAX!

Outside entertainment

Drumming and all manner of percussions.

They go until late in the night and people gather round to listen and dance, or whatever they want to do.
In the middle is the 'bonfire'.

Fake of course but at night it lights up the place.

I dunno....

Adrian

Well I didn't really meet him but I was sitting in the bookstore and this guy was sitting next to me on the bench reading an interesting magazine, at which I was sneaking peeks.
Eventually we start talking and I realized that from the side this guy looks a little like James VanderBeek.
From the front though and the way he talks it is EXACTLY an Adrian Korbel type thing!

EERIE.....

Then later...I went casual

Casual cartoon me :)

Really causal... I like

Lifetime TV Version of me

This is what they think I look like..

I got to do the clothes etc
I like it!

DRU

I really like Victoria Rowell.

She overcame unmistakenable odds (Foster Care), and became a great lady and a good person.

Here is a picture of her with her daughter and son.

She described on the Tyra show, and other shows, how she gave birth to her daughter, and then a nurse wouldn't let her have her daughter when came time to feed her. This was due to the color difference....Imagine having to deal with that.

Meanwhile Victoria is one of the premier actresses Hollywood, and is absolutely everywhere. Legends Ball, O magazine, EVERYWHERE....

You Go GIRL! :)

The VOYCES: Band of the Month

I usually don't do this but I really like this band called the VOYCES. You can check THEM out on myspace and listen to their music

I liked them so much that I found them on myspace and talked to the band leader Brian off and on by email for almost a year.

He is really dedicated to the success fo the band but other than that their music is cool, and there is a girl in the band named LAUREL hahahha

THE VOYCES have been nominated for Band of the month at the DELI magazine.

Check out DELI and look athe the top right hand side at the band of the month poll. Then vote.

They really do have cool music and great people in the band. Thanks for telling me about the poll Brian.

The Art

INTRO......At the Studio Warehouse

This was pretty good.

This pic here is onion skins.

I liked all of it.

This was beautiful

People are just so creative!

This was a film of moving hands, which was kinda scary but chic nevertheless :)

I didn't get pictures of every Little thing, but what I got was amazing

Like This...So Pretty

And this...which is something I will try out in the future

This

This

This

This

This

This. I really loved. It just looked really peaceful and simple.

This

There was also an outside fireplace drum session.

I really liked that too...I think I will go to the next event!
