Neat wood

I haven't seen timber lined so neatly before ...going onto conveyors for processing.

It reminded me of Titanic for some reason...

Far across the distance and spaces between.... you know?

Then of course it reminded me of Timberland..."You like me just the way I'm are" :)

Homemade car

I thought it was cool even though I know it would never pass any inspections. He had bible verses written on it too which I thought was major (thanks Posh!)

The engine had those steam vents like a train or tractor and the guy jumped through the window to get in...

The body of the car was so dented...if it were safe I would like to sit in it.

Red Road

The dirt along this road turns redder as you drive it.
It gets darker and then lighter then maybe darker again. You never know what you will get.

However when you get to the Olive they ask the right question.
"Does the road you are on lead to me?"

Better get on the right one....

Fairy Rings Again

Well the rain has been falling a fair amount and maybe Fairies have been having parties because the mushrooms are sprouting up everywhere

Sis remember those books we had and I always wanted to meet pixies.
Note to self (age 8).

Outdoor Ampitheatre

When you need to take a break or relax, this is the best place to do it.

Something interesting is always going on there, and you can sit in the sun and eat, or read, or just watch them.

First Ever Rock Concert

The Queens of The Stone Age.

They are actually a very famous band, but I didn't know that because I don't follow the rock scene.

So I get there early and because I had researched the band I recognized the lead singer Josh Homme.

I got a pic with him. :)


WHen I got inside I was up front right by the stage. I thought That was the best place to be but I didn't realise that it meant that a mosh pit would form behind me.
I am nest to R.J in the cap and we are the first row to the stage so everybody else is pushing to get where we are.

The crowd was sick! There was a lot of pushing
Luckily some guy there decided to protect me...That was really nice of him. That is him in the cap. R.J. I was standing right next to him...

The other bands were ok.
I got a drumstick from the drummer of the first band. He kinda looked like Izzy.

I really liked the Keyboardist from Queens...he was really nice.
After the show band members came up to me to tell me I did a great job up front lol!
I met the music manager for Queens and took a pic with him
He was really nice. We talked for a while because he asked me where I was from and If I had fun etc.


This other guy from the first band also came up to talk to me...it was great!...I think I was the onlyperson who looked like me there! He is a guitarist..and looked tired :)
Ok so I had a good time but I think that that is my first and last rock concert.

Secrets

PostSecret.com is a site that fascinates me.
People send in their innermost secrets on postcards...
Some are funny and some are very disturbing....
It's just such a strange concept, a good concept I think because I am always curious about people and why they do the things they do....
They have had so many cards sent in that they've published a book.
The site thrives.
This one secret really struck me because a lot of people have blogged about it.

I talked to people about it too and they all admitted that it's a fear of theirs.
This is a sad secret....

Skating Musical Chairs

Was fun to watch and if I could skate better I would definitely take part in it.

They skate around to rock music and try to get a chair once the music stops....

There is a lot of tripping and falling and bruising I am sure..It is still wild :)

Marimba Music

Matthew and his band mates had a concert at his production house on Railroad...It was amazing.

They played expanded pieces of music that were made for African thumb pianos, dabbled in 80s music which I loved, and performed marimba solos.

Remember, Matt builds the marimbas himself

He told me that they practice for a total of a couple hours each week. They all have music degrees so it must be so easy for them.

They were really really excellent.
I am officially a groupie :)
